The Leadership Institute will be held at the Crown Plaza - Albany hotel, a newly renovated hotel in heart of New York’s historic state capitol.  The hotel is a short walking distance from many attractions in Downtown Albany.  For more information visit www.cpalbany.com.

Attire:   

Attire will be a mix of business causal and coat and tie. Detailed attire requirements will be included in the confirmed attendee mailing to be sent by late June 2009.  

Arrival and Departure Time:  

Please plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 3:00pm on Thursday, July 23, 2009 so that do not miss province meetings, registration, other programming and the opening banquet. You may depart anytime on Sunday, July 26, 2009.

Driving:    

Those who will be driving to the Leadership Institute will receive more detailed directions and parking instructions in their confirmed attendee mailing to be sent by late June 2009.

Air Travel:   

Those who will be flying should make arrangements to fly into the Albany International Airport [airport code ALB].  The Albany Airport is just 11 miles from the hotel.

Rail Travel:    

Optional arrangements could be to fly into any of the various nearby airports and take the train into Albany’s Rensselaer Amtrak Station, which is five miles from the hotel. Ground Transportation:  

The Hotel provides complimentary shuttle transportation to the airport and the Rensselaer Amtrak Station as needed.  (Gratuity recommended)

From the airport, pick up the courtesy phone for the Crown Plaza – Albany to request a pick up.  The airport is a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel.

From the Amtrak Station, call the shuttle/concierge directly at 518-462-6611 to request a pick up.  The train station is a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel shuttle is also available to take guests anywhere downtown.  The shuttle generally runs from 5am to 1am, seven days a week.
